Hello everybody, a pandemic year has left us with many good things. For sure, this year I will bring some book reviews, some in Spanish, some in English.

My children, thanks to whom I started this blog now they are 8 yo, and they have settled very well to the school life in UK since 5 years ago that we live here. And our little girl, she is 3 years old and it will be with her that I will enhance some activities in her free time.

Mina Minstry (sort of) Investigates

minabookreview

Mina Mistry Investigates is a really, really funny detective series packed with comic-style illustrations and good plotted mystery-solving throughout.
This is the first book to introduce children to Mina’s spying world and my boys who are 7 absolutely loved it because they can relate to her  passion about spying on her teachers and classmates. So, they will be happy to read the coming books.
They liked the idea of having a secret log where she writes about her INVESTIGATIONS and that she has personal files on everybody she meets. I think, they are thinking on doing the same.

What we like the most

  • Engaging illustrations that show you Mina’s personality
  • Hilarious way to describe common and simple scenes of school life
  • It is easy to read, even if you have English as a second language. Double point!!
  • Draws the attention to healthy life style at lunch time

The age I would recommend for this book is 7+. This book is for preteens. I would say this book is for people that think school sometimes can be boring and they can flip around that situation with their ingenious imagination.

This is my special recommendation for your young readers. For more information about it, please visit this website.

¿Fácil?, no. ¿Posible? Por supuesto que sí.

Summer by Stanka Wixted

Few days ago, I received from Boolino Books four beautiful books  Spring, Summer, Stars and Numbers to review and today I will begin with Summer.
